New Name: Style 'n' Inspire

As Editor-in-Chief of this blog. It is with great pride that I make this announcement. This blog will no longer go by the name Ladycraze. I have done a lot of thinking and finally came up with something new. I will join my two loves: Style and advice for young women and men too! Join me on this venture to showcase some unique style and add some advice; we can all do with some advice sometimes right? If you're liking this please let me know and if you're not I am open to knowing why. I will begin this new path with my photo above. While I am not too big on fashion, I love style. Above I am wearing a jeans shirt(H&m), Black peep toe booties, purse with feathered design (Charlotte Rouse), black skirt( Forever21)and tiger design top from some store in Soho. I love this outfit because it looks clubish and loungish and shows off my short wonderful legs. There are certain areas on a girl's body she might not like. But there is always that one feature you love most. It can your eyes, your lips or your legs( in my case). Whatever it is, embrace the beauty in that feature and you will see a difference in your thinking about yourself. However while you're trying to embrace that feature, be sure to embrace your whole self!

Hot On the Streets..

Meet Ayanna, she is Her-Flavorz feature for the week. Her sense of style is always classy & chic. We've been friends for as long as I can remember. However, she's always dressed to kill whereever she goes. I conducted a little interview with her. Here's what she had to say:

Q: Who's your inspiration when it comes to fashion trends/style?
A: 'I like both Rihanna and Kim Kardashian's style. Rihanna's style is fierce and fresh, I like that she's unique. Kim Kardashian is always wearing the latest trends and she's more laid back and looks comfortable; I love her style because it is attire that can be worn everyday.


Q: What's one accessory you must never leave at home?
A: 'My i-pod. Music helps me clear my mind when I am on the go or at home'

Q: Do you wake up and throw together an outfit or do you think about it the night before?

Got Denim??

Did you know, that denim jackets can be worn with any piece of clothing, even more so, that it's been in style for quite some time. According to an article on Glamour.com 'Shop Your Closet Time'- A case for Bringing back the Jean Jacket'; jean jackets have been worn for decades, think superstars such as Madonna, Ralph Lauren and James Dean.

According to ehow.com, jean jackets were created for the workplace, if you pay close attention that is not the case today. Better yet, if you own one you would understand where I am coming from. Every retail store you can think of sells denim jackets, in different colors, styles and size. Without doubt denim jackets are a major hit in the fashion world, a major hit on the streets and last but not least a major hit on campuses.

Meet Pamela, an Undergraduate at the City College Of New York- She is rocking this outfit. While the pants, the boots and the accessories plays a major role in setting the outfit on fire, you must give credit to the denim jacket. The denim gives Pamela's outfit a punk look- while still looking chic.

Tip: You can find denim jackets at any department store or any retail store nation wide. Stores such as H&M, forever21, Saks, Bloomingdales; even the the more 'high end' stores such as Gucci and Givenchy. SO go get a pair, however if you own a denim Jacket kudos to you :) Just put it together right and all eyes will be on you.
